Importing title block lineweights

I’m learning the ropes to Revit and have been setting up our company title blocks to work in Revit. They’re nearly ready to use, but when we load them into a project for testing/review, they lose the lineweights we’ve set up for them.

We know how to change the project lineweights manually in so they match the title blocks, but are wary of affecting other Revit objects by changing them in this way, and would also like to bring the lineweight settings in automatically to avoid having to alter them for every project we work on. What’s the best way of doing this?

As Aruna suggested, you can set up object style subcategories specific to Title Blocks (probably the easiest way to get what you want) and use those for your title block linework/objects, -OR- you can set up the object styles in your title block family to match those in your project files, and adjust the assigned objects styles in the title block family accordingly, so there is no change in lineweight when the title block is loaded into the project.

Thanks, I used some custom object styles which got the title block linework displaying properly. 🙂
