When I select an imported dwg object sometimes I have the display option of bring forward/send back & other times I don't. I import all dwgs the same way so what's going on here?
Depends on whether you import the DWG with the Current View Only option. If this is not selected - the lines are part of the model. If it is selected it is a detail components. See the difference in model lines and drafting lines.
