how to move objects vertically

i've created a mass element and now i want to move it vertically to a higher position, but the element moves only horizontally for some reason.
i'm a new user of revit and... well, is there something i can do?

Select the object...
Press the Properties dialogue box button
look for base constraint

you can chose another level
you can also offset it from the level
up or down...down with a negative like -1' 6"

Try moving it in any elevation view

you can move the elements in vertical direction by changing the levels after selecting the elements individually
