How to do a material take-off?

I need to find out how much gyp board we are going to remove from an existing building. I have drawn the walls as a typical 3 5/8" stud with gyp on either side and then changed them to existing and then to be removed during new construction. I think I am good so far.

Can someone point me in the right direction or toward a quick tutorial to find out how much gyp board there is? I have started playing around with material take-offs, but not had any luck.

Thanks Wiley

If you created your wall with material components as described, you should
be able to create a wall assembly material take-off schedule and set the
phasing to match your demolition phase.

Thanks for resonding Michael! I have spent 4 - 5 hours on this getting nowhere. I finally created a material takeoff using the "new" phase as opposed to the "exisitng" phase. I actually got something to show up in my schedule. I was getting absolutely nothing before. I think I am headed in the right direction, I just need to fields setup correctly.

Thanks
Wiley
