how to Align a extrude object as Slight Reference line

is there any way to align a extrude solid object as per angle reference line? please find enclosed my problem.

select the extruded object you want to align to the main object....Modify> Create>Group......now you can align it...

after positioning you can ungroup it back...

i hav followed your advice but somehow i m making some mistake thats why i m not able to align the back seat of chair as pipe.can u please advice me a little bit more.

No!...make a group with only one object (the back sit)...align it to the pipe steel frame...and after completing the operation ungroup the back seat
