How do you model the sloped grade beam?

See attached.

What's the best way to model this sloped grade beam?  Can I use the sweep?

as I understood from your detail it seems to be a border beam of a floor slab.

  1. yes, you can use Sweep from: Component>Model in Place >Floors>Sweep
  2. or you can use Slab Edge from Architecture>Build >Floor >Floor-Slab Edge  aplied to the borders of your floor slab. You have to made a profil family for this....you can use this  profile for the first method too....

How do you make a profile family?

Message 4 of 5

New Family > (Metric) Profil Hosted...this can be used for both methods

for Sweep you can also make the profil on place by Edit Profil

take care to have the same materials (concrete I supose) in both floor core and beam, otherwise the elements will not join.
