You cannot delete the last member of a system family.

Thought so! Thanks anyway
It's rather strange though, not be able to delete something you create isn't?

System families are, naturally, maintained by the system. There needs to be at least one type for each system family otherwise it would disappear from the project and be difficult to replace (transfer project standards or copy and paste can work).

I have several types of level families in my template (with different symbols and for both shared and project level) I want to delete/remove some of the types but I can't???

1. Go to the Project Browser
2. Expand the "Families" section
3. Expand "Annotation Symbols"
4. Locate the Level Head symbols to delete
5. Right-click > Delete

To remove the actual Level types, use File > Puge Unused and check the types to purge (uncheck all first then only check what you want to remove).

Check it on Project Browser/Families/Annotation Symbols and delete Level Head. Level System Family Type can be deleted through Purge Unused.

First change the existing levels in the model to another 'Level type' that you want to keep.

Then use 'Purge Unused'

  • Families
    • Annotation Symbols
      • Level

You can select the level and purge it if it isn't in the model anymore.
