how come we cant see hidden line for an opening? see pic please

how come we cant see hidden line for an opening? see pic please

why doesnt act like other elements for example a beam or an other elements pass throught... it will look hidden from the plan view?\

Have you considered the Linework tool to change the LineStyle of component li9nework to hidden, dashed, invisible, etc. This works in any view, even 3D, but is view specific.

Also, the Show Hidden lines tool button above teh Option bar allows you to show components that are concealed or hidden behind other components as hidden lines.

the problem is onln with the opening,,,
an the "are concealed or hidden behind other components as hidden lines." is not appliable for an opening

it should works automtically
no?

Not necessarily. A door Opening would not have dashed lines in all offices. In many offices, those dashed lines would indicate a demoed portion of an existing wall when a new door opening was inserted into the wall. You need to create your own families for creating openings, etc. with dashed lines embedded into those families.
