Have Windows 8 but revit 2014 says it's an unsupported operating system

I have a 32 bit Dell Studio 1737 and want to install a trial version of revit 2014. I updated my OS to Windows 8.1 Pro. I installed revit 2014, but when it got to setup initialization it said "Unsupported operating system."

My system has the following:

Processor: Intel Core@ Duo CPU T9550 @2.66GHz 2.67 GHz

RAM: 4.00 GB (2.99 GB Usable)

System Type: 32-bit Operating system, x64-based processor

What can I do?

Windows 8.1. is not currently supported for Revit 2014. However, some of us succeeded to install and use it.

In your case, I believe because your OS is 32bit. Revit 2014 is not even supported on Windows 8 32bit.

Read the Revit system compatibility here: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/...

If this post solves your problem, please mark it as solved. It will help others with a similar problem to find a solution.
