i know if you select a grid and i add an elbow then i do propagate extents and choose the plan view i want it, it will work but if ever i extend a grid and i do prpagate extents it wont work...i want that if i extend a grid, i want it to be extended only on the active view and not effecting others...

When you select the grid, look near the end of it. Each end can be independantly set to either 2D or 3D. The Grids are set to 3D by default. If you want to have different lengths in different views, you have to change the ends to 2D for EACH view you want to alter the lengths in, one grid at a time.

And, you can use a Scope Box to control Grids ( and Levels).
