Graphic interface (ribbon) distorts

I'm having trouble with the graphic interface distorting at random times in the top ribbon area.  Can anyone provide a suggestion/solution?  Graphics hardware acceleration is already off.

Thanks!

Well I've never seen anything like that with the Revit 2011

ribbon, everything about that release is very stable. And

I assume you have update 2 installed for that, If you don't

then go to Revit support and get it.

Graphics cards for Revit have just about everything to do

with converting 2D to 3D. I don't think the card has anything

to do with that ribbon anomaly you are showing us. But who

knows.

When you start up Revit 2011 it displays a dialog telling

you what card you have and whether or not it's been

certified for Revit 2011. But if you checked "Don't show

me this again", or whatever it says, then you won't see

it again. I always wondered how to get it to come back

after I told it to go away, but I didn't really look for it.

I go to http://autodesk.com/us/revit/revit_graphics_hardware_-_graphics_hardware_list_final.html and see all the cards

that are certified for Revit 2011.

But you can use a LOT of cards that are not on that list

that work just fine too.

But like I say, I've never seen or heard of the Revit 2011

ribbon doing anything like that. And if that ever happened

to me, the first thing I would do is go to Add/Remove

programs and re-install the program.

I know this isn't a lot of help, but that's all I know..

Try turning off hardware acceleration (Options --> Graphics tab --> uncheck "Use Hardware Acceleration (Direct3D)") and see if that helps.
