I'm creating my first schedule in Revit and I cannot get the quantities to show properly. It is listing items multiple times with a count of 1 and I want to see the total count for each item. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I think you have not made the setting to calculate totals. For every field you want to sum up you have to mark that totals should be calculated.
Further you should deselect Itemize every instance for Revit to start grouping items.
