floors in section

What is the best way to add a floor level to a space where it dis not interferwith how the building looks in section and elevation.

Everytime I add a floor and go to the section the walls are above the floor.

Has anyone got any advice?

If your walls are above the level they are supposed to be sitting on, then

their "Base Offset" must be other than zero.

If the top of your floors are not at the level THEY are supposed to be on,

then their "Height Offset From Level" is also not zero.
