Filter parameter values ​​which are only applicable to that parameter.

I'm wondering if it is possible to filter/show only parameter values which are only applicable to that parameter. So no parameter values belonging to other parameters in a family.

This to avoid that users are selecting wrong values.

For example a door with several text parameters. See also the screendump.

What you want is not possible (as far as I know). It is also on my wishlist for future versions.

There are some "workarounds" which I sometimes use. The type parameter lists all the items belonging to the types category. Some solutions I deploy are depending on circumstances:

-Remove Items that should not be part of the selection from the family.

-Move Items you do not want into the selection list to different categories.

-Create more than 1 family.

-Use type parameters and thus prevent user (not allowed) selections.

-Use a parameter field with a comment to explain use of parameter.

Above choice of method depends on type of user, experience user etcetera.
