FAMILIES CRASH REVIT! HELP!

Please help...

I have been custom making families to import into my building.  Everything was going fine then I opened up my file one day and have been getting the attached error message ever since.

It completely crashes when I click on several of the components (meaning I can't even delete them from my file).  I can however still open the families individually, edit them, and reload them.  I just can't actually click on them in the floorplan.

I thought the problem maybe was in just those families, but now I can't make a single family without the error message coming up right away after I import them.  Some of the pro-loaded families in Revit do still work fine, but once I edit them I get the same problem.  I can't build correct store fixtures if I can't make my own components.  If anyone can help at all it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,

Laura

Did you try doing what the message suggests (saving as a recovery file, which will apparently result in the deletion of the problem objects)?

Yup... tried that.  It saves the file, but then when I try to open the recovery file it says the file is corrupt and won't open.  I've been modeling in place and it seems to be working so far.  Just really not ideal and very irritating.
