exporting IFC 2x3 2nd level problem

I tried exporting a simple building - 5(m) * 5(m) * 3(m), wall depth is 0.3m - to IFC 2x3 2nd level.

When I check exported IFC file, I find some errors.

Cartesian point of spaceboundary relating wall indicate worng point.

For example, in 1st level, #91= IFCCARTESIANPOINT((4400.,0.)); that's right.

But in 2nd level, #91= IFCCARTESIANPOINT((15.4199475065617,0.));

How could i get 15.4199475065617? I tried to another computer, result is same.

Does revit export IFC 2x3 2nd level incorrectly?

I want to know a  casue for that problem.

Hi birugaely

I've worked alot with Revit IFC files; do note that the export from Revit improved dramatically in Revit 2012 SP2 and Revit 2013

What version are you runnng? Have you checked the result in the third part software package like Solibri or Tekla BIMsight?

I use revit 2013 and export through IFC exporter.

When I check IFC in solibri, spaceboundary is created but it is very small.

This is a "known issue" since we are working in Metric system.

I reported this some time ago, and got the following reaction:

There is an issue with the coordinates that are not converted in mm.
The sizes stay in inch and therefore the boundary appears very small.
The development confirmed this issue and a correction is planned in the next version.

Best regards from the Netherlands, Hans Hendriks.
