Hello, I am trying to open Revit with Windows XP but I'm having difficutly. I had a trojan virus earlier this year and I think it could have influenced this, since I haven't had this problem before. The message I receive is that an unexpected error has occured (0010.15). I've tried to repair and also uninstall, but that doesn't work either since it won't allow me to fix it!. I sincerely hope that there is help near that can help me since I'm completely stuck. Thank you in advance! Sincerely, a hopeful student, Mikkel
I'm getting the same error when trying to install Revit 2014 obtained from students.autodesk.com. This was done on a new install of Windows 8 and Revit, so no trojan viruses so I don't think that is the issue.
Hello community,
Sometimes, when running an Autodesk product for the first time, we need to right-mouse-click on the desktop shortcut icon and select "Run as administrator" so that the program can finish the license setup part of the installation. This is only required once, during the first time the program is run on that computer.
Reinstalling the software doesn't fix the problem, because it was never a problem with the previous installation to begin with, it was a problem of having administrator rights when starting the program for the first time. I hope this helps clarify how to fix this error from occurring.
