energy calculation

is it posible to do a energy calculation in Revit?

 

i need to find my U-values?

 

please help 🙂

This is not possible.  The materials of elements are known but the materil definations do not contain any thermal information.  This could be calculated and added to elements using a custome parameter but the work would need to be done manually.

HI,

 

You find some info on this topic here:

In 2014 under materials you have a + tab. click on that and select thermal. Here you can select what type of building element you want to edit e.g brick. and it will give you an out of the box value. You can edit these values based on more reliable data.

 

You then get the values in the type properties and schedule out the U values.
