elliptical Planetarium and Curtain walls

I need help...

I have a elliptical Planetarium design and I cannot apply a curtain wall to
the face of it. Its a 8x8 glass curtain wall. It covers the entire
planetarium all the way around. Please help. thank you.

Can you post a picture or a DWG/RVT file? The Curtain System tool under the
Massing Design Bar should work in this case.

If you make the shape with a mass element first, then use the mass tool bar, curtain system by face, it should work.

So here is the mass. I can apply a curtain system to it but I cant apply
the mullions(kinda important for holding the glass in).
Any help would be great.

Thanks

Here's your file with curtain wall system...is this what you were after? I added additional grid lines to get the shape to follow the curve more like the mass. I did receive error messages as I added mullions to grid lines but I accepted the messages by deleting the duplicate objects it was complaining about and continued to add mullions until I was finished.

WOW! Your dang good... I was able to get the curtain wall system in but I
couldn't get those mullions in.

...so 2 questions:

1-How did you do that? 🙂

2- And any ideas why I couldn't?

Thank you.

BTW is there a way to get the curtain wall system to grid horizontally
around the mass rather then from end to end?

I need help, please!

I am designing a roof plan that incorporates an old fighter airplane. The design is in need of an elliptical dome as the "cockpit" design for a large window. I love the design of project 1 above and would love to incorporate this dome as it looks to be the exact design I need, however I need it to be at one-third or one-half the scale it is currently. Can this be done and how do i accomplish this task? Any and all help is appreciated!

My guess is you were using a curtain wall and not a curtain system. Curtain systems are limited to system panels but can be applied to complex geometry. Curtain walls can have custom panels but are "drawn" not applied to faces.
