Elevation tags....yuck

The exterior elevation tag looks horrible. I want it to look like the
section tag (minus the line and tail). I believe the famil is "section head
filled". How do i even edit the elevation callouts i don't see them under
families at all? Everything else is in there...i must just be missing
something simple.

nope, not missing anything....its a long standing wish from users to be able
to customize these tags, but they are currently "system families" and cannot
be changed.

To create an elevation that looks like the section tag, use a section!
Place the section, turn off the tail, and pull the section line using the
grip into the head of the section tag. Make sure the green dashed "scope"
box of the section is surrounding what you would like to see.

Ya know Scott, I've complained about this too.
You'd think that a fairly simple request like this could be handled in a
timely fashion.
Come on, I mean I pushing and pulling 7 stories of columns, beams, and
braces and everything works perfectly, yet I can't get an "Architectural
Graphics Standards" elevation symbol?

Yah the Section mark "works", but it creates a Section view not an Elevation
view, and it remains a sore point.
Hello? Anyone listening in Waltham? Sure you are. Please fix this.

Being a newb at Revit and CDs I thought it was just me thinking something
was wrong with how these were represented.
I hate 'em so much they are Objecti Non Grata aka Categori Invisibilus - I
hide them in elevation view and use line work and text instead.
