Elevation Parameter in Parametric Family.

I need a parameter that will pull the reference level elevation. is this possible to accomplish in a structural foundation family?

Hi rsm0002,

For structural foundation family, when you load this family into project, in its instance property dialog, there is a parameter "Level" which indicates where this foundation is placed on elevation, and you can also show this parameter in the foundation schedule.

For the reference level in the family, by default, the value is 0, and if you change its value in family in the elevation view, and want to show this value in project, you need to add a new shared parameter in this family, and set its value, then load it into project, this parameter will show up in foundation properties and schedule.

Thanks.

Is there anyway to pull the elevation without manually entering the Elevation Height?

Hi rsm0002,

Unfortunately,  the reference level value in the family is not related to any other available parameter in the properties or schedule, so its value will not be pulled automatically.

Thanks.
