Use the Spot Elevation if your just wanting an elevation.
If you have a Level that should be showing up, go to the building elevation
and right click
on the level and hit "expand 3d extents" that should do it.

If you need a level marker in a drafting view, then you will need to create
a new annotation family and bring it in as a symbol. You can't place Levels
in a drafting view. Drafting Views are meant for importing dwg files or
other 2d linework, not for modeling.

I am trying to place an elevation marker (level marker) in a drafting view.
I can't figure out how to do this. I can't place it as a symbol and any
other options are greyed out. Can someone help me?
