Dual Core Processors

What's the bottom line...
Other than allowing one to work on other programs whilst Revit is grinding
away at a rendering task, is there any appreciable advantage to purchasing a
system with a dual core processor?

You can also have Outlook in the background, and iTunes in the headphones, etc. Given the price difference, I would never again buy a single core or 32 bit machine, even with Revit taking little (direct) advantage of either. You will still get a decent bang for your buck, and you have an upgrade path to 64 bit Vista and quad cores and such when Revit can finally take advantage of it.
