Door "center" parameters

I am trying to create a door family with multiple width sizes, and vision panel sizes. Each vision panel size has it's own door with a yes/no parameter assigned to it so it turns on and off when checked. My problem is when I try to have the doors change from say 3'-0" to 4'-0". The doors change sizes and the vision panels relocate correctly, however the doors do not change size evenly from the center. They adjust themselves to the right. How do you constrain the doors so they expand evenly from the center. I have assigned them a width parameter and have also given the door "equal" dimension constraints to the center of the door. The center reference plane however adjusts itself to the right along with the door width change. I need the center to remain tied in place and have both edges expand out. Any assistance is appreciated.

Make sure the ref. plane representing the centerline is defined as the
origin.
