door family

Hi Guys,

as Revit insert a door it cuts the wall starting at the flooring level upward door height

but in real building the door openning starts from the top concrete

can i tell revit to start cutting the wall bellow flooring (leaving the door wing to start from flooring)

or how can i add this feature to door family...i would like to control the height of the cut below

flooring (e.g be a parametric)

Edit the door family, go to either the front or back elevation view, and mouse over the perimeter of the door.  Tab until the "Opening" is selected, choose "Edit Sketch" on the ribbon, and adjust the opening to be however you want it.

I did that and even add parameter to it (below floor level) but it does not work out well

Revit consider this as part of door height

would you give it a try and send me your results
