does anyone have problem running revit on a quad core?

I have seen a few people complain about speed with this program, one in
particular complained about a quad core being slow. I just purchased a quad
core machine with the Q9300 processor running WinXP 32 bit and wondered if
it will be a problem.

You would be better off with Win XP64, or Vista. The next release of Revit 2010, has been published to have "native" 64 bit versions, and so will access more than the 4 gig of ram the current Revit 64 will access. Also a graphics card that has DirectX support is necessary, since it appears that the OpenGL wil be dropped, possibly from multiple Autodesk products.
