This seems to just be a problem in Revit.
There are several things that you can try to prevent this from reoccurring:
1. Update your graphics card driver
2. Turn down the accelerator to basic
3. continually close all hidden windows
I have done these and I no longer have this error showing up, however, like I said, this seems to just be a problem in Revit and doing these might now stop this completely.
I've turned off both OpenGL and "overlay planes" in the graphics tab. I am able to open one of my sections, but if I zoom into it to far I get the message metioned in the begining of the post. In addtion, sometimes I'll get this error randomly when opening up other views but with a second try the view will open just fine.
