I am trying to do a shadow study for a residential project. I did a shadow study in the original working file, but was concerned that the shadows were not accurate. I created a reference file from scratch, using the same geometry, location, elevation, ground plane, date, and time as the original file, but the shadows do not match. It looks like the right ascension is the same, but the declination is different. The difference is most pronounced at the winter solstice, but it is different for the entire solar year. Attached are the original stripped working file, the new reference file, and a screen grab showing the two models side by side with shadows on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
