Disappearing viewports and views

Periodically we will loose either the contents of a view or viewport on a sheet. We have also had a situation were the view is intact but the viewport will not appear.

We are set up on a central server with local files and worksets for editing.

Any suggestions?

Viewport? You mean crop region? Crop regions can be turned off at the bottom
of the view display area.

Yes viewport and views. But your suggestion did lead me to answer. Thanks for your help.
(An element got moved way out of range and crop region was including it.)

Just check the scale of the detail that is inserted into the sheet. When you insert the detail into a sheet that is 1/4"=1'-0" and went back to the detail and changed the scale to 3"=1'-0", you wont be able to see it on the sheet because it got bigger than your sheet and its off, but it's still there. You just have to bring it back to 1/4"=1'-0" scale.
hope this helps

Thank you, I'll pay attention to that.
