Dims / Temp Dims: Precision Control...?

If rounding dims to the nearest 1/8 inch, what settings have to be changed to make permanent and temp dims be the same value? -- John Herridge, AIA AEC CADCON, Inc. www.aeccadcon.com

John, You can control the units per project AND per dimension type. To change the project units go to the Settings menu and select Project Units.... The units for a particular dimension type can be changed simply by editing the Units Format. I don't believe u can round temporary dimensions up or down. "Is what It Is". If someone draws a wall 50' 6-255/256"........ that's what will show up as a Temp. dimension. -- Regards, Paul Monsef ----------------------------- TSA | architects, pllc Production/CAD Manager 425.401.6828 x105 "John Herridge, AIA" wrote in message news:4006f6a6_2@statler... > If rounding dims to the nearest 1/8 inch, what settings have to be changed > to make permanent and temp dims be the same value? > > -- > John Herridge, AIA > AEC CADCON, Inc. > www.aeccadcon.com > >

Uh...it's the year 2011 and in Revit Architecture 2012 this is still a problem, or rather a needed control.

Come on, some of the value to the temporary dimensions is to observe them dynamically and click when the intended value is seen.

But with no precision control (rounding) it's almost always a fractional  "???/256" that is displayed.

Sheesh...
