Difficult to import DXF and IFC

Hi guys

I'm a new revit user and I'm stuck on this since yesterday

I'm trying to import a 3D structure of a foreign program within revit and use this structure in the project

the goal is that I can fit it in the architecture with a solid black representation

here are my attempts till now

DXF 01: Import CAD

- Import the DXF file with "import CAD";

- Problem: the import is not cut in any view;

DXF 02: Make a Family

- Open a new family file;

- Load the DXF, save;

- Load the newly created family in the project;

- Representation in section view is now correct;

- Problem: Doesn't cut in plan; can't make the representation of the structure to become solid black when sectioned;

DXF 03:  Conceptual Mass

- Open a new conceptual mass file and load the DXF;

- Problem: Revit crashes at this stage;

At that point I looked for the IFC file, luckily got it

IFC 01: Link Revit

- Open the IFC file in Revit; saves the file as a project and use "link Revit";

- Problem: Come linked various levels; can't make the representation of the structure to become solid black when sectioned;

IFC 02:

- Open the IFC file, gathers the whole structure and make a group;

- Use ctrl-c ctrl-v in architectural project;

- Representation of cuts is now correct;

- Structure is cut correctly in plan;

- Problem: Can't make the representation of the structure to become solid black when sectioned;

thank you
and sorry for my english, I did the best I could
