Depressions in slabs in Revit Arch 2010

Does anyone know how to make slab depressions? I have a 12" conc slab. In some rooms the slab will be depressed 4". I can't get that to work.

Please help

An easy way is to pick the slab, make a hole using 'edit boundary', ok, model a new thinner slab in that hole and use join to connect those two slabs. An other way is to 'model in-place' a face-based void form and cut out the depression.

The thinner one worked fine. But is going to require alot of work.

The other one might be better. Do yu mean to use the Model in place under component?

I get an error box.
