Deleting a ceiling grid

How do I get rid of a ceiling grid?
This should be simple, but I have not found a way to delete a ceiling.
Please help.

Go to a ceiling view plan. Select your ceiling (might have to TAB) then hit delete

Thank you for your help. However, I had already tried that, even using Tab,
but the ceiling just stays there after I hit the Delete button, and the
Delete icon keeps disabled. Any other ideas?
Never mind! I have just found the way. The only way to delete the ceiling is
by using rick click>Delete, after the whole ceiling is selected with Tab.
All the other options don't work.

I believe you have to get the outside boundary. If you are selecting a grid
line I don't think it'll work.

Even having the outside boundary selected, the delete key won't erase the
ceiling, and the 'X' icon for erasing objects keeps disabled.
Only right click>Delete works. Seems like a bug.

Just tested it, works fine here, X icon and the Delete key.

Could you have mulitple ceilings placed, you deleted one, put there is
another one below. Try crossing window the area, and use filter to select
all ceilings that may have been modeled.

Go to your 3D model, use the navigation to get the wall (building) from outside - make it 0/90 degrees like any elevation (right, left, back, front). By using HH command temporarily hide all the necessary elements to get to the wanted section of the ceiling (like you are peeling the orange...and until you see it), then select it + delete. Use the command HR to return the elements back as it was. Later on, if you need, you can add another ceiling to your ceiling plan.
