Curtain Wall Panel Properties

After creating a new Curtain Wall Panel how does one go about customising the Analytical properties for future Building Performance analysis?

Below are the figures that are returned after selecting one of the options namely

1/2 in Pilkington single glazing

When the panel in question is actually made up of 10mm of glass, a 16mm air gap then a sandwich of 5mm glass 0.8mm film and another 5mm glass. It is not surprising that this option is not available from a drop down menu however what is surprising is that there is no customise option which would allow the 4 figures to be entered manually

Analytical Properties
Analytic Construction 1/2 in Pilkington single glazing
Heat Transfer Coefficient (U) 6.2426 W/(m².K)
Thermal Resistance (R) 0.1602 (m².K)/W
Solar Heat Gain Coefficient 0.81
Visual Light Transmittance 0.88

This has to do with the materials dialog box, and the termal properties of materials. If you are unders subscription, I suggest you do some search in the Autodesk University catalog of classes. There have been some lectures about these topics.

Well, unfortunatly hasn't. If you define material in curtain wall panel family it doesn't mean that the analytical parameters will update itself.

From the project level it is easy to add new material, you need to add this material in the external file called "Constructions.xml" located in you project files.

Unfortunatly I couldn't find the way how to add this info into family. Maybe Autodesk team will help??

Thanks
