Creating two different types of ground floor slabs on the same level?

Hi,

I'm trying to separate my ground floor slab into two different slabs each with a different stratigraphy of layers.  How can I do this?  I've edited the footprint so that it looks like there are two distinct floor boundaries but when I go to select the floor in order to edit the type, the entire floor, or both "pieces" get selected and I can't seem to just edit one piece.... any suggestions?

You need to create two separate slabs. If the outline of your slab is intricate and you would prefer not to retrace one part, you should be able to edit the slab boundary and cut the boundary lines from the area for the "other" slab, then draw in the closing edge lines and accept the edits. Then start a new slab and paste the cut lines to start the boundary sketch of the "other" slab.
