Creating detail sheets in Revit using CAD details

What is the easiest way to import CAD details onto a Revit sheet.  I was able to import a detail into Revit, but for some reason the number I had placed in the CAD detail has disappeared.  Any suggestions?

The numbers on the sheet are assigned automatically by Revit when views are inserted in sheets. Try this workflow:

 

Create a Drafting view

Import your CAD detail into the drafting view.

From tre project Browser, rename your drafting view appropriately.

Drag the Drafting view into a sheet.
