Hi All,
Theres some really great material on Autodesk University website about working as a contractor in Revit (Concrete BIM: The Use of Building Information Modeling for the Concrete Contractor) - Dan Russel is really big on working off a model regardless of what he gets through from the design team.
Question is though - he was quite vague about working with pours - I mean can Revit really do pours - beyond breaking down a slab or wall into parts. I mean a pour is more like - today I'm building the formwork, placing the rebar and embeds and conduits related to THIS pour - so here's a report of all the things related to this pour.
Simply breaking a slab into parts isn't really the same thing since sometimes a slab, part of a footing and a column are part of the same pour - and we need to attach a bunch of kit needed for pour into those three 'volumes' (if you like).
Thanks in advance.
You could assign data to model elements, such as a text or integer parameter with a value that indicates on which day that certain concrete part is going to be poured.
