Create Metric Template From Imperial

Is it possible to create a new metric template file from my existing imperial template? Before anyone answers, I know I can change the units of the imperial template to metric. Would that mean the only problem would encounter is renaming anything with a imperial naming convention to metric? Ex. renaming the 30x42 titleblock family to 762x1067 titleblock.

Yes, you cn change the units, but you would have to load the Metric family templates and content to replace the Imperial templates and content. No short cut here.

Maybe I should approach it the other direction and load whatever I need from the imperial template into a metric template.
