If you pick one of the objects that is constrained, you should see
(sometimes you have to zoom out) a blue lock and a dashed line showing
the constraint. Here you can click that lock to unconstrain it.
You could also go to Tools -> Review Warnings, find the warning that
warned you about the removal of the dim, and call it back up, and hit
show or look at the element ID's to find which objects it was referring too.
Another way to do it is when you go to move the item, use the move tool
instead of dragging it somewhere and pick the 'disjoin' checkbox prior
to the move.
