connection to basement ceiling

Hello,

i want to connect the outer walls with the ceiling. But i need a piece of insulation as shown at the picture I attached!

How can I draw this insulation at the edge of the ceiling? In 3d of corse 😉 ?

That would be something you detail - not somehting you would show 3D. That would get into what I would consider over modeling.

You are not able to show the insulation in 3D, even if you locked the vire the insulation option is grayed out.

The only way I could think of showing it would 3D be to create a family.

Hmm okay, but in reality you need e.g. less stones if there is an insulation!

Did nobody ever draw that bevore?

Depending on need for schedules - model bricks and insulation both as walls or the then just insulation as a piece of floor around concrete floor. Height same as concrete floor. Easy to copy elements from level to level.

Ahh okay. But this is the "hard way" 😛

Isn't it possible with profiles or families?
