COBie Toolkit for Revit 2013

Where and when can I gain access to a COBie toolkit for Revit 2013? If one will not be available, is there a workaround for updating the COBie information in the absence of the Add-in?

Autodesks needs to get this out ASAP, 2013 was released in may and still no COBie tool.

Well you could try the following, probably not recommended by Autodesk

  1. Project transfer your Project parameters from a 2012 COBie file  (the supplied COBie Template will suffice) to your 2013 template to get the COBie parameters in the file.
  2. Install the approriate 2012 COBie plugin
  3. Get the dll and drop it in the 2013 plugin directory from C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012 to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2013

Works for me.

Autodesk: this does not let you of the hook.

The Revit 2013 Cobie Toolkit was secretly released around October 4th.

Here's my link to download it.

Also, make sure to install Update 2 for Revit for better IFC exporting.
