Hi, all,
I am looking for a mobile workstation for running Revit, and I am considering the Thinkpad W510 with the following cpu, ram, and graphic card
Processor: Intel Core i5-560M Processor (2.66GHz, 3MB L3, 1066MHz)
Total memory: 4 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM)
System Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M with 1GB DDR3 Memory for Dual Core Processors
Is it capable to run Revit on it? Do I need to increase the CPU to i7 or the Ram to 8 GB?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

For reference I wanted to include the performance recommendations for Revit Architecture 2011:
-Microsoft® Windows® 7 64-bit Enterprise, Ultimate,
Professional, or Home Premium
-Quad Core Intel® Xeon® Processor (2.50 GHz, 2X6M L2, 1333) or equivalent AMD
processor
-8 GB RAM (or more)
-1,280 x 1,024 monitor with true color
-1 GB (or more) DirectX® 9-capable graphics card with Shader Model 3. Find out
more about recommended graphics hardware.

Hi, Ryan,
Thanks a lot for your information. But I am not very clear about the detail difference of CPU. Can I choose i5 Processor or I should change it to i7?
Thanks in advance.
Kai
Both i5 and i7 are multi-core processors, so they would be adequate for the system requirements:
