check and X don't appear creating flooring ceilings and staircase

I have REVIT on my home desktop as a student and recently I've been working on a home project. I had to use the school desktop to put in the ceilings, floors, and staircases because my program does not show a check box (finish) and X box (cancle) to finish the plan of each. I can sketch the flooring, staircases, and ceilings but cannot find a button to finish. I have tried hitting enter and the spacebar but nothiong responds nor works. HELP!!

What you are describing seems like a .Net issue. This happened to different users after installing .Net 4.5 (Microsoft). After installation several user experienced similar problems. An update (Service Pack) solved the issues. So check if there are updates/Service Packs available for your Revit version.
