Just came across this issue today: it appears transparency overide (by element or by category) won't be printed from any floor plan views in Revit 2013. Tried elevation/ section/ ceiling plans. all ok. it seems to me that is a bug. anyone out there having the same issue? or I just simply missed something?
The work around is to switch the view to wireframe. but not ideal anyway...
I'm still having this problem in Revit2014. Also, the link suggested by TroppoSA seems to no longer be available.
Autodesk, do you know when the problem might be solved?
Thanks in advance,
Marian
From what I have found, the original issue described should be resolved with Update 3 (for Revit 2013).
If you are seeing this with the 2014 version you could be seeing a regression or it may be a different issue with similar symptoms.
If you can reproduce the behavior in a new (small) project, it would be useful to get a copy of the project and a Screencast video showing the steps you are going through with the file.
I'm seeing the same issue in 2015 - if I set it to Raster it's fine but not Vector.. .
......which makes sense, since transparency is a Raster-related function.
Helpful as always Cliff.
Have you bothered to read the rest of this thread?
Yep.
Not to worry - I've got a solution for my current issue.
I have the same issue in 2016, its elevation views of walls and it wont show embeds, wall is transparent, its set to raster and it's still not showing right on the print. Can you Please tell me how you resolved your problem?
thank you
Looking back at the original issue described, I am not seeing this occurring in the 2016 version:
I suspect that you are seeing a different issue (with similar symptoms).
If you got through the steps above, do you get a different result?
Hello Lance,
I am still having the same issue with TOPO in Revit 2016.
I opened a new project.
Crated a Topo.
Imported an image (it was a sat image in the original file)
Overridden topo to have transparency.
Went to plot with vector
Got PDF with topo not being transparent.
Please help and refer to attached files. I ve exported the image instead of screenshot.
Much appreciated
