Can't get rid of ground plane

i've read another post addressing this issue however after turning off the
ground plane in the rendering setting dialog box, it still shows up. it
wouldn't be so bad however i can't get it to drop below the 0'-0" level.
i've adjusted the level as a negative18" to no avail. even changed my floor
level from 0'-0" to 1'-6" and still nothing. any clues to how this ground
plane is manipulated?

There are more than one location to turn off the ground plain, check under advance model graphics, and rendering settings and site settings. Make sure it is off in all locations.

my advanced model graphics dialog box doesn't make mention of ground plane,
just shadow and silhouette settings for the 4 styles of 3D representations.
i've turned it off in the rendering settings dialog but still shows. i
wouldn't mind having it but i can't get it to drop to my true grade which is
approximately 18" below my finished floor elevation (0'-0")

To avoid the ground plane from being visible after rendering the scene you
have to disable the "Sun and Shadow Settings from View" option from the
Render Scene Settings dialog box, accessed by the Settings menu > Render
Scene.

Hi Suhail,

I tried mailing you a file with the SITE Ground Plane set to a certain material which wouldn't show up good enough while rendering the same. But the file was too heavy for the mail.
I'll quickly list down the Material Settings used for the TAR Road in the project. Try and help me with the right combination of Material Colour and Transparency to get a finer finish while rendering the same. Also note that the rendered view in Plan comes out perfect Black, whereas the same comes patchy in any other view.

The Material is ASPHALT, STANDARD, WET from SITE folder in ACCURENDER Material Library. In the Material Editor Under MAIN, BASE Colour is set to R-50,G-54,B-50 & Reflective Finish - 0.343 & Luminance - 0.00 and rest are unticked. Transparency is set to 0.00 & Index of Refraction - 1.00
