Can I apply a material for rendering to a generic wall?

I've created some generic walls and I wanted to overide the material but I can't find a way to do it.  I thought I could do it in revit arch 2010 but using properties and edit type but I don't get the materials selection using revit arch 2011.

You can use the "Paint" tool to paint any material onto a surface (wall or any other).  If you want to change all the walls at one time yoju can change the appearance of the "Default Wall" material.  This is the material used by the Generic wall types.

You may insert a new layer as  a finish one ,and

then aplly the material you want to.

In my former message I proposed you create a new finish layer , but you may also change the whole wall , jusy apply the new material to the Structure1 layer, that's  even faster. Now you have three different options.i hope someone is good for you.
