calculate the room from outside of the wall?

Revit is calculating the area from inside the wall to inside. Can we change it so that it calculates the area from outside of the wall, or from the centerline of the wall?

Room and Area design bar tab > Settings then choose the boundary you want to use. It is a project wide setting.

Keep in mind that leasing/tenant plans are often better done with Areas and Rooms used for the "rooms" that are part of their leased space. Same can be applied for Units in hotels or apartments/condos. Areas for "big" picture and "rooms" for discreet spaces created within.
