Is the pattern curved or is it a regular pattern on a curved wall?

It's a stock pattern that comes with Revit, no modications from my side. I never heard of curved patterns nor saw them as an option so I guess its regular pattern on a curved wall. OK. It is true that you cannot use the Align tool on something that is on a curved surface. However, you can manually adjust the surface pattern.

Hover over one of the pattern lines and press TAB. This will highlight one of the pattern lines. Then drag the pattern line around to see what you can do with it.
