Brick Ledge at Foundation Wall

Hey all,

I need help with a quick problem, I'm new to revit and I'm trying to cut a brick ledge out of the top of my concrete foundation wall. The space needs to be 4" x 1'-4"...does anyone know how to create this?

Thanks.

Come to my Au class this year and I'll show you. Basically just edit the structure of your brick wall, switch the preview to section, click modify and unlock the masonry layer, air space, and any other layers you want to continue down into your brick ledge. then say ok, now you'll see a base extension, type 1'-4" then in section click join geometry. Select the brick wall then the foundation.

sdbrown,

Thanks I'll try that, I know how to edit the wall structure so that you can pull the brick in section. I just didn't realize that join would work on that as well. I'm sure I'll get the hang of this program soon!.

Regards.
