Beam Hook Pblm in Precast Model

HI Guys,

I am doing a precast beam family using the existing revit library . Over the existing family i am adding a parametric hook geometry. when i place the beam family in the project the hook should be placed above the reference level by which the beam will be placed appropriately in the current level. i.e the beam should be matched horizontally to the top of the level.

i am  attaching  the file. i Dont need the 130mm Gap in that file. Please Check and do the needfull

Thanks & Regards

By default when you create a beam, its Z justification geometry will always use top as geometry parameter and this why you are having this issue.

So you need to create another refrence plane in the beam family and should be define as origin and its distance from the level refrence needs to be the same as the hook length

Here is a video shows how to do it

Thanks for Your Reply,

IN Arch Bending we can't Align the Edge of the Hook. Please Check the Arch Edge I tried So Many times its Can't Align. Here I Attached the My Family File Please Check it and infrom to me sir

Since the hook is nested family and doesn't have any parameter then you just need to take a measure manually but if ever you need something to snap on Arch, you could edit the hook family then draw a model line close to the top extremity of that hook to be able to snap things on it

Here is a video for the snapping part

Then you need to make sure there is no other Refrence plane defined as Origin, in your case there is one you need to uncheck
